Aurora has had many depictions throughout the Ages. Her form is made in pendants, statues, and motifs which utilize varieties of weapons, armors, and robes to represent her. There are many images of a fearless protector, within Auroran halls she is shown as a zealous crusader, and to those that are less inclined to the violent affairs of the Moon Goddess she is shown instead as a bringer of powerful gifts.
She was believed to be the primary Goddess of the mythical High Elves, although with the collapse of the Eternal Empire during the First Age there is little knowledge of the religion and such practice has been lost to antiquity. She is a respected Goddess among other domains, gathering dedicated followers from all across Nhearn despite any barriers of race or creed, but it is the Empire of Man which offers the largest population of her worshippers. The Empire, which builds many churches and cathedrals dedicated to the Goddess Christianna, will often dedicate rooms within the hallowed halls to the moon Goddess. In places considered to small to offer a proper place of respect, patrons will erect shrines on the church grounds. The pairing of Christianna, the Daughter of Gold, with Aurora, the Daughter of Silver, is very common even beyond the border of the Empire, as Aurora is often considered to be the sister deity to Christianna. In the past the Mage's Temple of the Empire had also payed respect to Aurora in reverence to her creation of the Winds of Magic, often using silver in mystical ritual or even hosting shrines to Aurora within their temple grounds and forums, although this practice has been nearly forgotten following the political rise of anti-magic groups.
The creation of magic, a gift that was meant only for the High Elves, is often attributed to the Goddess and her gift of the Winds of Magic is considered to be her most generous gift to Nhearn. In the far north this gift can be seen in the Borealis. Shortly after offering the gifts to Nhearn she grew an incredible contempt for it, regretting utmost that magic had been taught and utilized by the forces of evil throughout the Ages. Because of the concerns that Aurora seems to have with the use of magic and its ability to corrupt those concerned with power, there have been sects of her fellowship that seek out the destruction of the use of magic, which has resulted in magic users and members of the Mage's Temple rejecting her worship or even avoiding Auroran worshippers entirely.
Other members of her worship often rise up as warriors, taking a zealous creed to end the struggle of good and evil in their favor by any means. Auroran paladins and her crusaders often take a tremendous amount of pride in taking up the cause and do not shy from displaying their faith as Auroran worshippers, actively embellishing their clothing, arms, and armor with her symbols and metals while they spread the message of their Goddess. Members of anti-magic groups, witch hunters, Annabellan hunters, and lycanthrope slayers offer prayer and worship to Aurora as well, requesting power to overcome the wicked created upon Nhearn.
There are those who believe that Aurora is too zealous and that her lack of mercy could be misconstrued as a form of evil, but it is universally accepted that the Goddess is aligned to the benefit of goodness, her focus bent entirely around the destruction of Annabel and evil deities. Her devotion to Christianna is also unquestioned, her followers often taking time to follow Christiannan creeds and practices as they seek their own moonlit path toward goodness.
During times of the waxing or Full Moon, it is considered that Aurora is able to see and act with more power and clarity, the moonlight offering a holy boon and good luck to her followers. During the waning or New Moon she is still believed to be powerful, but her sight and her strength are sapped by the evils of Maribel and is a sign of bad luck to come.
